• Sunlight: Prefers partial shade or filtered sunlight; direct all-day intense sun can scorch the edges and requires heavy watering.

• Maintenance: Very slow vertical growth means minimal or rare mowing is needed, but you must weed regularly because its slow spread allows outside weeds to take root easily.

• Watering: Needs more frequent moisture than standard hardier turf grasses like cow grass
